Have you ever imagined Jannah (Heaven or Paradise)?
Paradise, or Heaven, is known as “Jannah”, which means garden, like the Garden of Eden (where the Prophet Adam [A.S.] was).
We know what Jannah is, this is mentioned in Surah Muhammad in verse 15.
مَّثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ ۖ فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِّن مَّاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَالِدٌ فِي النَّارِ وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ
(45:15).
This is what it means, “Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?”
Since this is full of words, let me explain. The following ayahs are the description of Jannah. And Jannah is promised, it is meant for the righteous people who have believed in Allah and increased their Iman. Inside of Jannah, there will be large infinite rivers of clean fresh water. This water is normal and has a good taste to it. And there won’t just be rivers of water, there will be rivers full of halal wine. This wine is there because we followed the rule of Allah. We listen to Allah and we didn’t have a sip of wine in this life. Therefore, Allah has granted us wine to drink in Jannah. There will also be rivers of honey. A big stock of honey for the righteous to eat. There will be more than rivers, there will many kinds of fruits. Many fruits and they won’t rot.
As we eat, Allah will forgive us. He will forgive us for all of our sins we have committed in our life and we will keep asking for forgiveness because He saved us from Jahannam, hell.
While the believers are living a beautiful life in Jannah, the people who are in hell (Jahannam) will be forced to live eternally, forever, in the fire. They will only receive water, and this water is burning hot and it will burn the stomachs of the disbelievers.
Here we understand that heaven exists, and this will increase our faith in Islam so we can go there inshallah.
